Welcome to Papamoa Kitty Cabins. My name is Cheree. I am an avid animal lover, wife and mother to two boys.
I have spent the last 20 years working as a primary school teacher and the last 7 years fostering cats and kittens for a local rescue. At the end of 2023 I was ready to take my vision and make it into what we have today. After previously working in a cattery while at university, I parked this idea and waited for the right time. Teaching is still something I love and often step in a day a week to help out. I will always be a learner.
Papamoa Kitty Cabins is the result of a love and need for a change in my life. Creating an environment that nurtures, cares and provides a service for Kitty owners and the community.
With my fostering experiences there are not many situations I have not seen in the cat world and have solutions to. I hold a feline first aide certificate and have many vet friends just a phone call away. Currently I am learning about essential oils that help cats and I am looking into other natural animal health remedies.
Most importantly of all, I have plenty of love, care and time to give to your fur baby.
We are family-owned and run. Keen to offer a service to this side of the harbour bridge and support other local businesses where we can.
Our vision
To provide your cat with a safe, healthy and happy stay while you are away by keeping you updated with social media updates and photos to keep your mind at ease. We also choose to use natural and safe cleaning products, food, toys, plants and litter wherever possible, so you can be at ease knowing we have minimised any risks to your Kitty’s health.
